Kowakuteki was first hosted by HostnSurf and stayed there happily for a few months. Sadly, they had to close down because of the neverending inflation and me, being the ever-impulsive person, quickly transferred hosts when I read their mail about shutting down. So I got a reseller account from MellowHost and so far, I like their services. Their support is great. Tickets are answered in just a few minutes. I haven’t experienced down time yet and from what I gathered, they are the same company as Hagio Host (based on the fact that the bill that appeared on my purchase with them was titled Hagio Host) who has the fastest servers ever. So I’m pretty assured that my website is in good hands. They are a bit expensive though, compared to small hosting sites sprouting everywhere nowadays, but I’m sure it will be worth it. I highly recommend them to people who aren’t afraid to spend a few extra dollars for extra great service, extra fast servers, and extra reliability.

The Name

Kowakuteki is a Japanese word that means seductive or alluring. This also explains why my tagline is ‘Simply Seductive.’ I had a lot of choices but this one was the only one available. I love the name though and I don’t think I’ll be changing it anytime soon. I chose a Japanese word because I’m an anime addict. XD And I love Nihongo.

The History

Nightflame.Net – was my first domain ever and lasted for only a year, from 2002-2003. It was just a small personal site/blog and because I was still very young and immature, I got tired of it easily, like a child starting to lose interest with her first crush.

PurpleMist.Net – the second domain I had. I bought it when Nightflame was on the verge of its expiration date. However, I got duped by my host. I was only able to use their service for a month and then they suddenly disappeared.

Destined-Dreams.Net – As usual, this domain didn’t last long. I was already in my freshmen year as a college student when I bought it. However, due to the mild culture shock and the stress of having to adjust in a different environment, I didn’t get the chance to give time to it and eventually abandoned it.

Kikayfairy.Net – This domain is probably the longest I’ve held so far. I bought this as a gift to myself for my 18th bday, I think. It lasted for more than a year. I actually liked this domain name. Too bad I had to let it go.

Apocraphy.Com – My favorite domain. The reason why I didn’t renew this was because of one hosting company who’ve had me. I really don’t want to go into details since it still pisses me off, until now. I hope they go bankrupt, for all I care. Ha!

Current Sites

Kowakuteki.Net – my most recent domain, and hopefully my last. But knowing myself, I doubt it. However, I will try my best not to get tired of the name easily. I mean, it does sound very pretty to me. And the meaning is seductive… literally.

Onyxx.info – my hosting network. This site offers FREE and PAID domain and subdomain hosting.

Indisguise.cn – my fanlisting collective. I bought this domain out of a whim because it was on sale. However, I am not sure if I can renew this, since the original price is so expensive. Hopefully, by the time this domain expires, the extension is on sale once more.

Kikayfairy.Net – at Dec. 2008, I was able to retrieve this domain once more. This has been made into my Tagalog blog.
